Lab, Mince pork or chicken serve with herbs. Food for special event

Lao food is base on natural herbs and vegetable, most of Lao peoples has been practicing fresh and seasonal food  such as fruits, vegetable, chicken and fish.

Lab is on of gorges food for every Lao peoples as it’s special and taking in occasionally especially during Lao new year on April, Lucky day, faire well party, guest visit or family grouping.

Today Lab is well representing in the local lao restaurant especially for the lunch meal. Lab is represented in variety such as Lab meet, Lab Chicken, Lab fish, Lab duck, and Lab Pork.

Lao have variety of food due to riches of ethnic group and each has different herbs, spices and taste. Some has influence from neighbouring countries such as Chinese, and Vietnamese. 

In Laos we should recognised there is also variety of spicy sauce (Jeo) made from Chile baking and smashed with salt is a basic.

“JEO” can be made by many incidence vis veggies,  insects, sauces, as well as cat fish.
